Southwest is having a July 4th sale with one-way fares starting at $45. The deal ends Thursday at midnight and travel dates are available from August through December of this year.
Some example flights include $87 from D.C. to Fort Lauderdale, $185 from St. Louis to Cancún, $161 from New York City to San Diego, and $69 flights from Portland (Oregon) to Los Angeles.
International getaways include Turks and Caicos ($150 from FLL), Mexico (Cancún and Cabo), the Dominican Republic, the Bahamas, Jamaica ($274 from Chicago), and the Cayman Islands ($133 from FLL).
Domestic flights are eligible for booking from August 21 through December 19. You can fly to Puerto Rico on this deal from September 5 through December 6 and international flights are available from August 21 through December 12.
There are a few restrictions. Blackout dates include August 31 and September 3 (around Labor Day weekend) and November 20, 21 and 24 through 26 (Thanksgiving travel). Domestic travel cannot be booked for Fridays or Sundays.
